Founded in 1970, the Bannerghatta National Park is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Bengaluru, Karnataka. The facility covers an area of 260.51 sq km and houses animals such as tigers, lions, elephants, sloth bears and deer, among several other species. The national park offers various ticketed safari packages, allowing the tourists a close look at the magnificent animals. Tourists can avail either a four-wheeler, an AC bus or a non-AC bus as their mode of transport to enjoy the experience. Prices for a non-air-conditioned bus starts at INR 350 (USD 4.22) for adults (weekdays) and INR 400 (USD 4.83) (holidays and weekends) and covers the zoo and safari. For INR 670 (USD 8.08) (weekdays), an adult tourist can enjoy the safari, the zoo, take a tour of the butterfly enclosure and carry a camera. The prices for the same goes up by INR 50 (USD 0.60) during the weekends and holidays.
