While the official date of the International Day of Yoga (IDY) is June 21, Singapore is celebrating the occasion with not just one but over 180 yoga sessions across the island.
Also known as Yoga Day, the first edition of IDY was held in 2015. It was proposed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 27 September 2014 and accepted unanimously by the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
In Singapore, the High Commission of India held an inauguration ceremony for this year's celebrations at the iconic Supertrees at Gardens By The Bay on a beautiful Saturday morning.
