Singapore Khalsa Association (SKA) invites all for its Vesakhi Mela on April 14 & 15. SKA president Mohinder Singh says, "Our Vesakhi Mela has evolved into an event for Singaporeans at large from a Sikh festival," highlighting the way Sikh culture has blended with Singapore’s.
Brainchild of a few schoolboys of Raffles Institution during the mid-1920s who established a Sikh organisation for sports and culture on May 8, 1931, today, SKA is an active institution for Sikhs in particular and for all citizens of Singapore.
With a packed calendar involving the multi-sports Gurdwara Cup in Kedah and fresh from two-year long SGD 12 million renovations, the SKA is all set for a great year. Catch some of the SKA's past events in the pictures below, which hold a promise that 2018 will be an even more exciting one.
