The annual India Day Parade in New York, which attracts thousands of Indian Americans from in and around the city, will feature a replica of the Ram Mandir. The parade will take place on August 18.
The temple replica would measure 18 feet in length, nine feet in width and eight feet in height, reports quoted Amitabh Mittal, general secretary of Vishva Hindu Parishad of America (VHPA), as saying. This marks the inaugural display of the Ram Mandir replica in the United States.
The India Day Parade in the Big Apple, organised by the Federation of Indian Associations (FIA), is the largest celebration of India’s Independence Day outside India. The congregation sees participation from more than 150,000 people. The parade runs from East 38th Street to East 27th Street in Midtown New York.
