India number 3 on list of maximum COVID-19 vaccinations, behind only the US and UK

The Indian Health ministry on Sunday said that India is currently third on the list of countries that have administered the maximum number of COVID-19 vaccinations, behind only the United States and the United Kingdom. 

As per the ministry over 57 lakh healthcare and frontline workers have been vaccinated against the novel coronavirus. Amongst the 57,75,322 vaccinated, 53,04,546 are healthcare workers while 4,70,776 frontline workers. There have been 1,15,178 vaccine sessions.

The highest number of beneficiaries are from Uttar Pradesh (6,73,542), followed by Maharashtra (4,73,480) and Rajasthan (4,59,652).
