India and the United Kingdom held a virtual water partnership forum to discuss ways to collaborate on infrastructure development and water conservation.
Indian High Commissioner to the UK Gaitri Issar Kumar gave the inaugural address for the talks between the two countries.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was also inked between Ganga and British Water. India’s water conservation programme and other policies such as Jal Jeeva Mission, Namami Gange Programme, and Swachh Bharat Mission were also discussed.
Showcasing the business and investment opportunities in the Indian water sector, the event allowed UK experts to highlight how the country can collaborate with India in its water infrastructure development.
The event was concluded by a special address by Rajiv Ranjan Mishra, Director General, National Mission for Clean Ganga.
