Star Indian badminton player PV Sindhu tied the knot with fiance Venkata Datta Sai in Udaipur city, Rajasthan, on Sunday.
Sindhu, Olympic medal winner and an icon of the sport in the country, was dressed traditionally for the occasion.
The couple took the wedding vows in the presence of friends and family members.
Indian Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat attended the marriage ceremony and shared the first image of the grand event on social media.
The Minister wrote: “Pleased to have attended the wedding ceremony of our Badminton Champion Olympian PV Sindhu with Venkatta Datta Sai in Udaipur last evening and conveyed my wishes & blessings to the couple for their new life ahead.”
According to reports, the couple will continue the celebration in Hyderabad, where they will host a reception soon.
Sindhu’s husband, Venkata Datta Sai, is the executive director at Posidex Technologies.
