“Shenay, a regular participant in the Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire and Finest Surprise Promotions in the past four years, is the 129th Indian national to have won USD1 million since the inception of this promotion in 1999,” said Dubai Duty Free in a press statement.

The draw was held at Dubai International Airport. It was conducted by Ramesh Cidambi, Dubai Duty Free Chief Operating Officer, Sinead El Sibai, Senior Vice President-Marketing and Michael Schmidt, Senior Vice President-Retail Support.

The winning of USD1 million cash prize has come at appropriate time for Shenay as he has mounting debts to pay. It has almost been nine years that he’s been away from his home country and has racked up approximately AED230,000 to AED240,000 in loans and credit card bills.

Overwhelmed with his recent win, Shenay said, "Thank you Dubai Duty Free for this great surprise, I am so happy and looking forward to visiting you soon."
