Indian student living in Dubai wins environment award

An Indian student, Amiteash Paul, living in Dubai has won the prestigious Diana Award 2019 for his work in the field of environment awareness. 

Amiteash conducts workshops among white and blue-collar workers in Dubai to spread awareness about the environment and set up recycling bins in the offices, factories and labour camps.

The 16 year old, a student of Indian High School, Dubai, is the Environment Club Coordinator of his school and is an active member of the Emirates Environmental Group UAE.

Established in memory of Diana, Princess of Wales, the Diana Award is one of the most prestigious accolades a young person aged 9-25 years can receive for social action or humanitarian work. 

The Diana Award award recognised Amiteash as “an active and ardent environmentalist”. 

The youngster was among 85 children and teens internationally and from the UK admitted to the award’s 2019 Roll of Honour.
