In Connected to India’s Spotlight interview, Dr Shashi Tharoor talks about various subjects including a suggestion that April 19, 2019, the centenary of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre, will be the perfect date for a British apology for colonial rule, as suggested by him in the Oxford Union address of 2015.
Sharing his fondness for the Lion City, Dr Shashi Tharoor spoke about his ties to Singapore. “I’m glad to be back, Singapore is one of my favourite places on Earth,” he said.
Dr Tharoor will be in Singapore on April 27 for Connected to India’s Global Leaders Series. UK born Tharoor, who has lived abroad for large parts of first 53 years of his life finds a lot in common with the Indian diaspora. Here is the full interview:
