South Korean actor Song Jae-lim, who is known for his role in K dramas, was found dead at his residence in Seoul, media reports said.
He was 39.
Song was found dead at his home in Seoul’s Seongdong Ward at around 12:30 p.m. by a friend who had plans to have lunch with the actor, Yonhap news agency reported quoting police.
There were no apparent signs of foul play and a note was found at the scene, they said.
The actor’s family told Yonhap News Agency they wished to hold a small funeral involving only family members and offered no cause of death.
Born in 1985, Song Jae-lim began his career as a runway model for the Seoul collections of Juun. J, Herin Homme, and Ha Sang Beg.
He also appeared in the magazines Bazaar Korea, Vogue Girl Korea, Dazed Korea, Nylon Korea, GQ Korea, Arena Homme + Korea, Esquire Korea, and Marie Claire Korea.
Song began acting in 2009, and his notable roles include a loyal bodyguard in the period drama Moon Embracing the Sun (2012), and a cold-blooded assassin in Two Weeks (2013).
He shot to fame after appearing in the fourth season of We Got Married with Kim So-eun.
