On Wednesday Kohli posted pictures of him in Test whites and shared his love for the longest version of the game.

"Nothing comes close to playing an intense game in whites. What a blessing to be able to play test cricket for India,"  he wrote on Instagram.

With 27 centuries and 7240 runs in 86 Test matches, Kohli is currently in 2nd spot in the ICC Test rankings. The 31-year-old has time and again stressed on the importance of playing Test cricket. There has been no cricket played in India since March and the Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI) has postponed all matches and tournaments indefinitely.

With the Sri Lankan team back in nets and England all set to play the first Test against West Indies at home in July, Indian players and fans are also hoping that the cricket season resumes soon in the country. Though with an increasing number of coronavirus cases everyday in India, cricket making a comeback anytime soon looks highly unlikely.
