All its carriages are equipped with an array of top notch facilities such as live television, DVD player and wifi. All coaches are equipped with individual temperature control, attached bathroom and water filtration plant. Besides round-the-clock valet service and a paramedic is available throughout the journey.

There are four categories of cabins/suites in this luxury train. The cabins on the Maharajas' Express are the most lavish among all the international luxury tourist trains. The lavish interiors, distinct theme supplemented by the latest international safety features such as Electronic smoke detection system, CCTV, Pneumatic suspension for superior ride comfort will ensure your luxury rail journey a truly comfortable experience you ever had.

The Maharajas' Express has a total of 14 guest carriages which have got its names after various precious stones such as Moti (Pearl), Heera (diamond), Neelam (Blue Sapphire), Feeroza (Turquoise), Monga (Coral), Pukhraj (Sapphire) and so on. In these carriages are fitted luxury cabins that are segregated in four categories – Deluxe Cabin, Junior Suite, Suite and Presidential Suite. Out of these, the Presidential Suite, called Navratna spreads itself in an entire carriage is inclusive of two bedrooms, a separate living area, a dining room and a modern private bathroom with a bath tub. These cabins and suites have the capacity of accommodating 88 guests.

Dining Restaurants

On-Board the luxurious Maharajas' Express, you will find two thematic fine dining restaurants which will allow you to enjoy delicious meals in a vibrant yet soul soothing environment. The names of the restaurants are aptly suited to the tastefully crafted design, ambience and concept.

One of it is "Mayur Mahal", named after India's very own graceful national bird peacock, fondly called as Mayur and the other is "Rang Mahal", which literally means 'The Palace of Colors' decorated with hand painted fresco ceiling. The two fine dining restaurants can comfortably accommodate 42 guests each at any given time. The setup on one hand allows a seating of two persons who prefer to relish meal over a private chat and on the other hand also provides with a seating of four persons for guests who believe in socializing over a hearty conversation while enjoying the meals.
