Adding another feather to its cap, the Masters in business Administration (MBA) programme of the National University of Singapore (NUS) Business School has ranked 22nd in a global top 50 list of such programmes. Moreover, the NUS MBA graduates reported an annual salary of USD 132,000.
The global ranking was compiled by Financial Times of the United States. NUS is the only South-East Asian country to make to the prestigious list though Insead, a French business school with a campus in Singapore, ranked sixth.
The list was topped by Stanford University’s Stanford Graduate School of Business. The list is compiled based on data taken from alumni working in finance three years after graduation.
NUS has ranked 11th for international mobility, which is measured based on alumni citizenship and the countries where they worked before their MBA, on graduation and three years after graduation.
The university also fared better in terms of international diversity and gender diversity, with international students making up 93 per cent of the class of 2013. Female students made up 43 per cent of the cohort.
As far as salary was concerned, Stanford’s MBA graduates received the highest annual salary USD266,000 a year while NUS graduates reported an annual salary of USD132,000 which is about 105 per cent higher than their pre-MBA salaries.
This ranking comes after the FT’s Global MBA Ranking released in January this year, which placed the NUS MBA 26th in a list of 100 such programmes.
