Indian bowler Mohammed Siraj turned emotional on Thursday morning during the national anthem ahead of the third India-Australia Test in Sydney.
This is only Siraj’s second Test, after his debut in the previous match at Melbourne. Siraj was brought in to replace an injured Mohammed Shami in the 2nd Test and ended up taking 2/40 and 3/37.
In the third Test, Siraj gave India their first on Day 1, dismissing David Watner for 5.
The 26-year-old Siraj lost his father in November last year but decided to stay with the team in Australia to play the Tests.
