A woman in Central India’s Chhattisgarh allegedly killed and hung the body of a man, who she accused of molesting her minor daughters often. The incident took place in the state’s Pratappur region on the night of May 1. The woman, her two minor daughters and another man have been arrested by the police.
The deceased, identified as Sanjay, 35, lived near the woman’s house and would often get into heated arguments with his neighbours over petty issues, the Times of India reported.
On the aforementioned day, the family was woken up by the screams of one of the girls. Rushing outside, the woman, identified as Bhagman Korwa, found Sanjay dragging her daughter towards an empty house. She, along with her brother, Khiru, 50, stopped Sanjay and allegedly strangulated him.
Autopsy report revealed that Sanjay died due to physical assault and strangulation. The four were arrested after police found the body hanging from a tree near Korwa’s house. A murder case has been registered. Korwa later confessed killing Sanjay and said it was done in defence.
The minors, aged 14 and 16, were sent to juvenile correction homes. The case in undergoing further investigation.
