One of Nepal’s most experienced guides, Kami Rita, famed as ‘Everest Man’, reached the world’s highest summit for an unprecedented 29th time.

According to reports, his incredible achievement surpassed his own record for the highest number of successful summits, as confirmed by expedition organisers.

On Sunday morning, Kami Rita conquered the formidable 8,849-m (29,032-ft) Mount Everest, reaching the top of the world under the guidance of Mingma Sherpa from Seven Summits Treks.

Despite the arduous journey, reports indicate that Kami Rita is in excellent health and has commenced his descent towards the lower camps, wherein the weather conditions are favourable now.

Reflecting on his extraordinary feat, Kami Rita shared his sentiments on Instagram from the base camp, expressing delight that he has done it once again.

Kami Rita achieved the feat amid a friendly rivalry with his fellow Sherpa guide, Pasang Dawa. Both are vying for the prestigious title of the most ascents of Everest.
