With two more cases of COVID-19 infection have been discharged from hospital on Sunday, February 23, 51 patients in total have fully recovered from the infection.
Of the 38 confirmed cases who are still in hospital, most are stable or improving. Five are in critical condition in the intensive care unit.
In a press statement, Singapore's Ministry of Health (MOH) said there has not been any new confirmed cases of COVID-19 infection in the country of 2pm on February 23.
Authorities have also identified 2,812 close contacts who have been quarantined. Of these, 908 are currently quarantined, and 1,904 have completed their quarantine.
As of now, Singaporeans are advised to defer all travel to Hubei Province and all non-essential travel to Mainland China. In view of the recent spike in COVID-19 cases in South Korea, Singapore has advised the public to avoid non-essential travel to Daegu city and Cheongdo county.
