“The results of the 2018 Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education Ordinary Level (GCE O-Level) examination will be released on January 14, 2019,” said Singapore’s Ministry of Education (MOE) in a press release today.
School candidates may obtain their results from their respective schools from 2 pm on that day.
Private candidates will be notified of their individual results by post. The result slips will be mailed to the address provided by the candidates during the registration period.
Private candidates who are eligible for SingPass can also use their SingPass account to obtain their results online via the internet Examination Results Release System (iERRS) on the Singapore Examinations and Assessment Board website from 2 pm on January 14.
Students who wish to apply for admission to Junior Colleges (JCs), Millennia Institute, polytechnics, and the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) may do so via the Joint Admissions Exercise (JAE) using their GCE O-Level examination results.
MOE release said that JAE registration will open from 3 pm on January 14 to 4 pm on on January 18.
Eligible applicants who sat for the 2018 GCE O-Level examination will receive Form A on the day of the release of the examination results.
MOE has recommended that applicants are strongly encouraged to use the course application worksheet (provided in Form A or the JAE information booklet) before submitting their online application via the JAE Internet System (JAE-IS).
The posting results of the JAE application will be released on January 31 through the following modes:
JAE-IS, which is accessible through the JAE website;
SMS to the Singapore mobile number provided by the applicant during registration.
Applicants posted to Junior Colleges and Millennia Institute are to report to their posted institutions on February 1 on the enrolment details. Applicants posted to polytechnics and ITE will receive a letter from their respective institutions on the enrolment details.
