India is showcasing its G20 presidency with a big flourish, with world leaders converging at New Delhi for the G20 Summit on September 9-10. Aside from the discussions around global diplomacy and economics, the art and culture and crafts and skills of India will be front and centre at G20.
Highlighting the bond between the two nations, the High Commissions of India and Bangladesh were part of a larger celebration of the 50-year anniversary of recognising the latter as an independent country.
Gandhi’s belief in the “intrinsic equality of every person” resonates with Singapore, said Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.
Modi also inaugurated the Gandhi Solar Park at the UN headquarters and released a commemorative stamp issued by the UN.
The group cited environmental concerns while making the 16-point demand, which includes bans on public displays of worship and idol immersions.
