In a tragic accident, a person died after getting sucked into a jet engine of a plane at the Amsterdam Airport. The fatal incident took place at Schiphol on May 29.
The accident involved a KLM flight. “The flight concerned was KL1341 bound for Billund,” part of the statement from the airline read.

“A fatal incident took place at Schiphol today during which a person ended up in a running aircraft engine. Sadly, this person has died,” the statement added.
The deceased wasn’t named.
As per Dutch News, the accident involved an Embraer jet, which can carry 88 to 132 passengers. The news outlet said that the possibility of a suicide hasn’t been ruled out by officials.
KLM said they were providing assistance to the passengers and employees “who witnessed the incident”. An investigation is currently ongoing, the company notified.
