In an exclusive interview with Connected to India, the head of BJP’s Foreign Affairs Cell, Dr Vijay Chauthaiwale, spoke about Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming visit to Singapore, BJP’s diaspora outreach programme, NRI voting in the 2019 general election, Indian origin Israelis getting OCI cards and other issues of interest to the diaspora.
Explaining what PM Modi wanted to achieve via the diaspora outreach, Dr Chauthaiwale said, “What the PM wanted to achieve is to have a newly defined connect with the diaspora. He wants to make diaspora part of his development agenda.”
