The clear-headed, straight-talking founder and CEO of InstaReM Prajit Nanu looks like a man in a hurry. Talking about his global expansion plans, upcoming round of Series C investment, moving into a new bigger office, teams across the world, with a cool determination of a batsman determined to score his century in a crucial fifty-over game of cricket. An analogy Prajit wouldn’t mind, considering his love for the game he plays every weekend.
InstaReM is a remittance service, which makes it easy for consumers, small and medium enterprises and financial institutions to transfer money across countries at a very attractive fee.
“We wanted to build something which is low-cost, fast and actually does a lot of work to improve the livelihood of people who are sending money,” says Prajit the Singapore based NRI, explaining InstaReM’s core proposition. “World Bank acknowledges us as the lowest cost operator”.
In an exclusive @Work interview with Connected to India Prajit shares his startup journey, philosophies of life he values, the importance of family and friends and lots more.
