The 22nd International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) will be held in Yas Island, Abu Dhabi on May 20-21, 2022. Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, Varun Dhawan and Ananya Pandey attended the press conference hosted by IIFA yesterday announcing the awards schedule.
During the press conference, Salman Khan was at his candid best. When host Maniesh Paul asked Salman to give first-time performer Ananya a tip. He tells her to confirm with the Nexa sponsors, whether she will get a free car. To this Ananya replied, "Nexa waalon, mujhe gaadi free mai milegi please (Nexa, please give me a free car)". In continuation, Salman added, "Chunky Panday ki beti hai, baap pe gayi hai (She is Chunky Pandey's daughter, and resembles her father)".
At the event, Salman Khan also said that he shares a connection with Abu Dhabi, with many of his films being shot there.
"Over the last 21 years, IIFA has not only given Indian Cinema an international platform, but it has created a wonderful opportunity to connect millions of people globally,” he added.
