Australia’s Prime Minister Scott Morrison tweeted a picture of how he made a popular Indian snack, Samosa along with mango chutney, on Sunday.
Morrison gave a personal twist to the snack by calling it ‘ScoMosas’ and tagged Prime Minister Narendra Modi, with whom he has an upcoming meeting via video link.
Expressing regret that he cannot share them with Modi, he said that ‘it is a pity’ as the ScoMosas are vegetarian and he has made everything from scratch.
The tweet has more than 95,000 likes, close to 5000 comments and has been re-tweeted more than 15000 times.
Many Twitterati praised his culinary skills and even recommended him for a Michelin Star.
Prime Minister Modi responded to his Australian counterparts tweet a few hours later and said, “Connected by the Indian Ocean, united by the Indian Samosa!” while adding that the ScoMosas looked delicious.
“Once we achieve a decisive victory against COVID-19, we will enjoy the Samosas together. Looking forward to our video meet on the 4th.”, PM Modi said further in his tweet.
The Prime Minister of Australia and the Prime Minister of India are holding a bilateral meeting on June 4 through videoconferencing according to the Ministry of External Affairs, India.
