The 41 workers, who were rescued from Uttarakhand’s Silkyara tunnel in a multi-agency operation, kept their spirits up while trapped inside by taking morning walks and practising yoga, said a rescued worker to Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a long-distance conversation.
In the video, the workers, wearing yellow and white helmets, are seen receiving food items sent to them through the pipeline and talking to each other.
A team of officials from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) and experts at the site have decided to work simultaneously on five plans to rescue the 41 men.
The local police control room said that the trapped workers were safe and had asked for food, which was being sent to them. Officials added that communication was established on walkie-talkies and food packets were supplied with the help of compressors.
