The National Heritage Board has released its list of programmes for the month of July and August. If you’re in Singapore, you can attend these.
Presenting below is a list of all the programmes conducted by NHB, Singapore, for two consecutive months, starting July.
Our Memorial, Our Singapore
This mural created by local creative duo 8EyedSpud and the Founders’ Memorial shows the exciting activities that Singaporeans can look forward to at the Memorial and Bay East Garden. Love, Kebaya
Love, Kebaya is a travelling exhibition that takes you on a journey to discover the iconic Kebaya, its significance to the region’s shared cultural identity and living heritage, and the multination nomination of Kebaya by Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand, for inscription onto the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) of Humanity.

Let’s Embrace – Celebrating Harmony with the Heritage Institutions
Let’s Embrace – Celebrating Harmony celebrates Singapore’s multiculturalism and racial harmony. Learn about the cultures and heritage of the different communities at Our Tampines Hub through a guided heritage trail, immersive storytelling sessions, cultural cooking workshops, a travelling exhibition, and a community mural painting event. Get to know Singapore and gain behind-the-scenes insights from the staff of the Indian Heritage Centre, Malay Heritage Centre, Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall, and Eurasian Association.

Into the Hawkerverse Special Exhibition
The Children’s Museum Singapore’s (CMSG) new special exhibition, Into the Hawkerverse, introduces Singapore’s Hawker culture as an important part of Singapore’s food heritage and way of life to children (aged 12 and below). This exhibition is curated in consultation with children and aims to deepen their understanding and appreciation of Hawker Culture through play, activity and object-based learning.
Venue: Children’s Museum Singapore
Date and time: Ongoing till 2026. 9am, 11am, 2pm and 4pm (entry is by a timeslot basis).
Fees: Free for Singaporeans / Permanent Residents. For foreign nationals: SGD 10 per child. SGD 15 per adult. (Fees are subject to prevailing GST rate.)
Monumental Hunt in the Civic District
Set off on a fun-filled puzzle hunt in the Civic District! Inspired by escape rooms and treasure hunts, participants go on an immersive outdoor expedition featuring nine National Monuments in the area. Facilitated and guided by a game master, get ready to put on your thinking caps to decode the puzzles and discover fascinating facts about these historic buildings and sites along the way!

Monumental Hunt will be recurring and will usually take place every 3rd Saturday of the month.

Katha & Kali – Digital interactive experience in special exhibition
Step into the world of Kathakali at IHC’s digital interactive experience. Discover the different characters that are commonly found in a Kathakali performance; learn a mudra or hand gesture demonstrated by these characters; transform into your favourite Kathakali character; snap a picture of yourself and send the saved image to your email!

Ente Veedu, My Home: Malayalees in Singapore
The Indian Heritage Centre’s sixth special exhibition and third community co-curated exhibition celebrate the Singapore Malayalee community. The tangible and intangible aspects of the rich history and heritage of the Malayalees will be showcased through a display of artefacts and stories, along with a variety of programmes offered in collaboration with the community.

I am a Little Jewellery Designer

Tiny Island, Many Stories Travelling Exhibition
The Tiny Island, Many Stories exhibition offers a captivating journey through uniquely local narratives set in various locations in Singapore. From familiar tales to lesser-known stories, the exhibition breathes new perspective into timeless narratives. Unravels the narratives that form a rich tapestry of perspectives, essential for understanding the history, culture, and values of the Nusantara and Singapore. This travelling exhibition promises to offer a deeper appreciation for the intricate layers of Singapore’s history.

Changi Chapel and Museum
The Changi Chapel and Museum tells the story of the prisoners of war and civilians interned in Changi prison camp during the Japanese Occupation. Managed by the National Museum of Singapore, the Changi Museum was revamped and reopened in May 2021.
The revamped museum features new content and artefacts, including stories and personal objects collected from families of former internees, presented in an intimate and engaging format. The museum’s narrative is centred on remembrance and reflection, encouraging visitors to contemplate both the hardships that the internees underwent, as well as their courage and resilience in the face of difficulties.

Reflections at Bukit Chandu
Reflections at Bukit Chandu is a World War Two interpretative centre that commemorates the battle of Pasir Panjang and the men of the Malay Regiment who fought in it, as well as the history of Bukit Chandu itself. Housed in a bungalow that is closely connected to the site’s history, the interpretative centre uses immersive experiences and contextual artefacts to present a multi-faceted look at Bukit Chandu and Pasir Panjang, while inviting visitors to reflect on our nation’s wartime experience and the brave sacrifice of the soldiers.
