The department carried out one of the operations between July 31 and August 2, in and around Sims Drive near Aljunied MRT station, and Sunview Road in Boon Lay.

Officers seized over 13,000 items, estimated to be worth in excess of SGD 490,000. These counterfeit goods included perfume, cosmetics, and household items that appeared to be trademark-infringing.

Three people — two women and a man — aged between 30 and 36 years, were arrested.

Another raid was conducted on August 7, leading to the arrest of a 37-year-old man.

This raid on the Admiralty Drive area yielded 270 counterfeit bags estimated to be worth more than SDG 40,000.

The police said investigations are currently ongoing.

If found guilty of selling fake goods, the person can be fined up to SGD 100,000, jailed for up to five years, or both.
