The First ASEAN Music festival in Delhi concluded as a rocking success with Tim De Cotta’s band from Singapore playing at historic Purana Qila (Old Fort) alongside performers from nine other member states from the region.
In a prelude to the three-day main event starting October 6, the band performed at Ashoka University located in Sonepat township on the Delhi outskirts.

Tonight we play at Purana Qila for the ASEAN India Music Festival 2017!" the band posted on its official Facebook account.
"Delhi you made me feel at home. The connection is strong here. Much love to all who came out to the ASEAN India Music Festival yesterday…" the band said, on a parting note.
Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) in collaboration with Ministry of Culture, and Seher – a group that takes lead in initiatives in the sphere of painting, sculpture, theatre, dance, music, literature and cinema – organised the first ever ASEAN-India Music Festival in New Delhi.
The Festival marks the celebration of the 25th year anniversary of ASEAN-India Dialogue Relations. The theme for this commemorative year 'Shared Values, Common Destiny' along with this Music Festival aims to boost cultural influences among the peoples of the ASEAN member states and India, according to an MEA statement here.
The ASEAN-India Music Festival witnessed eclectic performances by musicians of 10 enigmatic bands from member states of the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) (Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Myanmar, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Lao PDR, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam) along with five prominent Indian bands.
The three-day festival included performances by ASEAN bands and musicians such as The Ugly Band (Myanmar), Cherpen (Malaysia), Tim De Cotta (Singapore), Kong Southearith (Cambodia), Red Bamboo (Vietnam), L’alphalpha (Indonesia), Nam Fon Indee (Lao PDR), A Band Once (Brunei Darussalam), Asia7 (Thailand) and The Ransom Collective (Philippines).
The festival also witnessed performances by famous Indian bands like the Raghu Dixit Project, Avial, Papon LIVE, Bipul Chettri and the Travelling Band, and Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy.
The three-day music festival had free entry for all.
