Starting at 6 pm, Starhub services in Singapore were down due to a network outage. Efforts to reach Starhub via its listed numbers and customer support line 1633 were not successful.
Downdetector, a website which provides real-time data on network outages, showed the Starhub network to be most affected.
Home wi fi and data services seemed to be most affected.
"I was in the middle of some important online submission when I just could not get any of my wi fi networks to work. My calls to 1633 resulted in nothing and were abruptly cut by a voice stating that Starhub was receiving a lot of calls and to call later." said a resident from Pasir Ris.
Starhub in the meanwhile issued multiple statements on their Facebook Page.
Customers from across the island have been complaining and giving suggestions on how Starhub could have kept the customers informed.
