When Surendar Chandramohan came to Singapore from India in 2010, he was in search of a better life for himself and his family. A technician by day, Surendar used to enjoy playing cricket in his free time.
What he never expected was that cricket would come to play such a huge part in his life – or that he would end up playing for the Singapore national cricket team.
What’s more, with Singapore winning the T20 World Cup Asian Qualifier, Surendar is now on his way to compete for a chance to play in the ICC T20 World Cup.
Connected to India caught up with Surendar to talk about his journey from technician to national cricketer, his experience playing for the Singapore team and his plans for the future.
