The International Monetary Fund (IMF) on Monday lowered the growth estimate for India to 4.8 per cent for 2019, a cut of 1.3 per cent in just three months. Stress in the non-bank financial sector and weak rural income growth were some of the major factors for the downward revision, it stated.
