Prime Minister of Singapore Lee Hsien Loong has exhorted citizens to focus on three longer-term issues for Singapore, including pre-school, war on diabetes and the goal of making the island country into a Smart Nation in his National Day message.

“When we see religious conflicts elsewhere, we have to remind ourselves that those are not our fights. We must not let events elsewhere erode the trust and harmony between different races and religions in Singapore,” said Prime Minister of Singapore Lee Hsien Loong.

At this 12th installation of Group of Twenty (G20), world leaders discussed issues “relating to global economic growth, international trade and financial market regulation.”

For strengthening bilateral ties, Prime Minister of Singapore Lee Hsien Loong met Chinese President Xi Jinping in Hamburg in Germany and affirmed the two countries’ substantive bilateral relationship, frequent high-level exchanges and good progress made in bilateral co-operation.

To commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Currency Interchangeability Agreement, Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, of Brunei, and Prime Minister of Singapore Lee Hsien Loong jointly launched commemorative S$50 and B$50 notes at a ceremony held at the Singapore Istana.

Lee Hsien Yang and Lee Wei Ling said they were “disturbed by the character, conduct, motives and leadership of their brother, Lee Hsien Loong, and the role of his wife, Ho Ching.”

“We will investigate any complaint on corruption thoroughly,” asserted Prime Minister of Singapore Lee Hsien Loong while opening the Corruption Reporting and Heritage Centre today.
