Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao inaugurated the Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district.
Located 80 km away from Hyderabad, the state government has spent about Rs 1800 crore on the renovation of the ancient hindu temple, Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple in Yadadri.
Temple Gopuram is covered with 125 Kg of gold, a Chennai-based company, Smart Creations, which is into exclusive gold plating has made its golden kalasams which has a 50-year-warranty.
Earlier, KCR, who is known for his spiritual belief and vastu obsession, had revealed that the yaga will be performed in 100 acres of yagna vatika with 1,048 yagna kundals.
The entire temple township project is spread over 2,500 acres of land. The temple is reconstructed with 2.5 lakh tonnes of granite specially brought in from Prakasam, Andhra Pradesh.
Indian architecture was kept in mind while planning the temple. The pillar is carved out of a single stone, no cement is used for the temple construction. The special doors of the main entrances were created by the pembarthy (famous for its metal and brass works) artisans, the queue lines adorned with sanku chakra symbols, specially made from Indore and the main entrance of sanctum sanctorum is gold-covered.
