According to reports, the driver died while seven others were injured outside the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas on Wednesday as the Cybertruck exploded.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is now investigating it as a potential terrorism case.

US President Joe Biden, in his speech, said the FBI is investigating possible links between the New Orleans and Vegas incidents.

Meanwhile, Tesla CEO Elon Musk alleged a connection between the Cybertruck explosion and New Orleans attack. Musk said both the vehicles were rented from the same car rental company.

“Appears likely to be an act of terrorism. Both this Cybertruck and the F-150 suicide bomb in New Orleans were rented from Turo. Perhaps they are linked in some way,” Musk tweeted.

According to reports, the Cybertruck pulled up to the Trump hotel at 8.40 am local time and exploded within minutes. Videos of the explosion has now gone viral.

“Our number one goal is to ensure that we have the proper identification of the subject involved in this incident. Following that, our second objective is to determine whether this was an act of terrorism or not,” an FBI officer in Las Vegas said, as quoted by India Today.

The FBI has identified the Cybertruck driver, but hasn’t disclosed the identity yet. The vehicle was rented in Colorado.
