Sustainability is the buzzword of 2019, and the trend looks set to extend into the new year.
For the first time in its 12-year history, the Singapore Airshow will be fully solar-powered, with sustainability as its key focus.
"This is really our little effort in contributing to make sure there is environmental sustainability," said Leck Chet Lam, managing director of organiser Experia Events.
Open to the public on February 15-16, 2020, visitors can look forward to a wide range of activities including static aircraft on display and aerobatic flying displays.
The 7th edition of the biennale event will be held at Changi Exhibition Centre, Singapore. In addition to a trade exhibition, there will also be a series of high-level meetings, business forums, as well as aerial displays for the public.
Touted as Asia’s largest airshow, the event offers a unique platform for industry thought leadership. Through its high-level conference, forums and co-located events, leading industry players, government and military chiefs gather to contribute to dialogues, exchange ideas and seek solutions and strategies.
