In his latest attack against news media, President of the United States Donald Trump tweeted a bizarre video of himself wrestling WWE President Vince McMahon in 2007's "WrestleMania 23," with CNN logo superimposed over McMahon’s head.
The video was captioned with hastags “#FraudNewsCNN” and “#FNN.” The tweet was also shared by the official @POTUS account.
CNN has hit back, saying that Trump's tweet encourages violence against journalists.
In a statement, the network said, “It is a sad day when the president of the United States encourages violence against reporters. Clearly, [White House press secretary] Sarah Huckabee Sanders lied when she said the president had never done so.”
“Instead of preparing for his overseas trip, his first meeting with Vladimir Putin, dealing with North Korea and working on his health care bill, he is involved in juvenile behavior far below the dignity of his office. We will keep doing our jobs. He should start doing his,” CNN added.
