Uber Singapore is offering its users a 15-minute cuddle with a puppy for the first time and for one day only on Dec 9.
The initiative is called #UberPUPPIES, which will see the transport company teaming up with local dog shelter SOSD and pet food company Purina Pro Plan, to run the free service from 1pm to 5pm that day.
By clicking the “Puppies” tab on the Uber app to request for the service, users will get a cuddle with a puppy.
According to Uber Singapore, if a puppy is available, an Uber driver will send the puppy to your home or office.
Other countries like the United States, Jordan, Australia and Lebanon have already launched this initiative.
While the service is free, those who opt for the service are encouraged to contribute a donation to support dogs at SOSD. The contributions will go directly to the shelter.
In addition, all dogs used in the service are up for adoption. Interested parties can approach SOSD for more information.
SOSD is a Singapore-based organisation dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming stray and abandoned dogs.
