Two Indian students were found dead under mysterious circumstances in their apartment room in the US town of Hartford, Connecticut, just 16 days after they arrived in the country from India.
The students were identified as Gattu Dinesh from Wanaparthy district of Telangana and Nikesh (21) from Srikakulam district in Andhra Pradesh.
According to reports, they were pursuing Masters in Computer Sciences from the University of Sacred Heart in Hartford.
Dinesh’s maternal uncle Sainath told the media that the student’s parents in India received information about his death from the Connecticut police.
“Apparently, both had returned to their room after dinner and slept on Saturday night. Next morning, their friends tried to wake them up, but there was no response from them, after which they informed the police, who reached the spot, broke open the door and found them lifeless on their bed. They shifted the bodies to the hospital, where they were declared dead,” Sainath told the Hindustan Times.
The immediate cause of the deaths are still not clear.
“They said the exact cause will be known only after autopsy. We are trying to get their bodies to India at the earliest,” Sainath said.
