USA: Indian origin motel manager fatally punched in Oklahoma City, one arrested

Police in USA’s Oklahoma City arrested a man for fatally punching an Indian origin male during a confrontation at a motel on Saturday, June 22.

As per law enforcement officers, a call was received at around 10 pm, asking them to come to the motel parking lot near Interstate 40 and Meridian Avenue.

The deceased was identified as 59-year-old Hemant Mistry. Mistry was punched to death by 41-year-old Richard Lewis. A video of the tragic incident has now surfaced online. It shows the two having a verbal spat. After losing his cool, Lewis lands a punch that knocks Mistry out cold. A woman is then seen rushing towards the victim, who fell flat on his back. Cries are also heard in the background.

Oklahoma City Police said Mistry was taken to a hospital, but he died at 7:40 pm on Sunday. Lewis was arrested from a different place after police identified him.
