Singaporeans and Permanent Residents who would like to catch the National Day Parade (NDP) this year can apply for tickets to the two previews and the actual day parade from today, May 23, 2018.
The application period will end on June 3, according to a press statement released by organisers yesterday.
The parade this year, themed "We are Singapore", will be held at the Marina Bay floating platform.
The Combined Schools choir – a crowd favourite – will be returning in this year's NDP after a five-year hiatus, said Todayonline in a report. There will be enhanced aerial displays by the Republic of Singapore Air Force, as well as aerial jumps by naval combat divers, for the first time ever.
"The show segment will seek to excite with a visually captivating and rousing experience featuring mass displays, special effects and active audience participation, tied together through films interwoven throughout the show to tug at our heartstrings," said the NDP executive committee.
The two previews before the actual parade will be held on July 28 and Aug 4.
Applicants can choose to apply for two, four or six tickets to the shows. The applications for the tickets can be submitted online on http://www.ndp.org.sg, at SAM/AXS stations or through Short Message Service (SMS).
For SMS application, send a message in the following format to 71715:
Each applicant is limited to one application, and tickets will be allocated via an electronic ballot system, not a first-come-first-served basis.
Successful applicants will be notified from June 25 to July 2 via SMS.
