The world’s biggest sporting event is scheduled to take place in Paris, France, between 26 July 2024 and 11 August 2024. Chopra came back in style on Tuesday to finish at the top with an 85.97m throw.

The 26-year-old had been missing from action, after withdrawing from last month’s Ostrava Golden Spike in Czech Republic. It was done as a precautionary measure as the athlete felt something in his inner thighs.

With his latest show, Chopra is also one of the favourites to repeat his Olympic feat, which he managed with a throw of 89.30m.

Finland’s Toni Keranen claimed the silver medal. His throw was a personal best of 84.19m. Compatriot and 2022 gold-medallist Oliver Helander took the third spot with a throw of 83.96m.
