In a special discussion with stalwarts of Singapore’s performing arts scene, Connected to India’s head of content Punam Sharrma takes stock of the festival’s nearly two decade-long existence. “Kalaa Utsavam is an absolutely beautiful platform,” said Dr Rajan, one of the 12 founding charter members of the National Arts Council (NAC) as the esteemed panel discussed Kalaa Utsavam’s humble beginnings as a three-day festival in 2002 to one that now spans ten days.
