We are stronger when we are united says UAE’s PM to the world

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and ruler of the Emirate of Dubai held a virtual meeting with Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the UAE yesterday.

In a series of tweets the PM of UAE said that UAE’s diplomatic cadres had demonstrated exceptional competence and that they had the Emirates' appreciation for being pre-emptive and fully prepared for any circumstance. 

“I  met Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed and a number of our ambassadors. We are proud of our diplomats who have shown great efficiency in dealing with the crisis proactively”, he said. 

Speaking of UAE’s citizens and students who had been stuck abroad due to the COVID-19  travel restrictions, the PM said that most of them have returned to the country smoothly.  

Those who still remain in foreign countries under exceptional circumstances are the subject of continuous care under UAE’s strong internal and external team. 

“Our citizens remain our top priority wherever they are”, he said. 

His message to all the countries of the world is that we are the strongest when we are united and cooperative, he said. 

The world after this pandemic, will need a system of health, economic and political cooperation that is different and fast enough to adapt quickly to crisis, concluded. 

150 new cases of the novel coronavirus, Covid-19  have been confirmed by the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHaP) yesterday in the UAE, bringing the total number of cases to 814.
