With the 5th International SCC T20 series kicking off today, we caught up with Singapore Cricket Club's third marquee player Farveez Maharoof yesterday and had a personal chat with the Sri Lankan allrounder.
Maharoof, who was a critical part of the national team's success during his career, talked about how he is looking forward to playing for the SCC alongside Muttiah Muralitharan.
"I'm here purely to enjoy myself, team up with Murali and turn out for the SCC side," he said. He also talked about the current state of the national team and praised Indian allrounders Ravindra Jadeja and Ravi Ashwin for their progress and for rising to the top of the world rankings.
