He took to social media to promote the event ahead of the big day.

PM Wong said he and his team are writing the “next chapter of our Singapore story”.

“We have new ambitions to pursue, and these are set out in our Forward Singapore roadmap. We have major changes to make in our policies, but also major changes in our attitudes and mindsets,” Wong said.

While he added that the agenda is big, at the Rally, he will focus on things that “Singaporeans care about”. His speech will contain matters pertaining to economy and jobs, families, housing and education.

Urging people to join, Wong said, “So, stay tuned for the Rally on 18th August, 6:45 PM.”

Wong became the fourth Prime Minister of Singapore on May 15, 2024. He succeeded Senior Minister Lee Hsien Loong, who stepped down after serving the nation for 20 years, from August 12, 2004 to May 15, 2024.
