Former Indian cricketer Zaheer Khan and his wife, actress Sagarika Ghatge, have welcomed a baby boy. The couple shared the happy news on Wednesday, April 16, through a heartfelt post on social media, along with a beautiful greyscale family portrait.

In the photo, Zaheer is seen holding their newborn son on his lap, while Sagarika lovingly wraps her arms around him from behind. “With love, gratitude and divine blessings we welcome our precious little baby boy, Fatehsinh Khan,” read the caption on their Instagram post.
Fans, friends, and celebrities poured in with congratulatory messages for the couple.
Actor Angad Bedi commented, “Waheguru”, while retired cricketer Suresh Raina wrote, “Many many congratulations.”
Commentator and former cricketer Aakash Chopra, actress Anushka Sharma, Diana Penty, Huma Qureshi also reacted to the post.
Zaheer and Sagarika got married in November 2017. They had a quiet court marriage followed by a grand reception at the Taj Mahal Palace in Mumbai, which was attended by several Bollywood celebrities and Zaheer’s teammates from the Indian cricket team.
As an international cricketer, he is regarded as one of India’s finest seamers, who played an important role in the team’s World Cup victory in 2011. He picked up 311 wickets in Test cricket and backed it up with 282 wickets in ODIs. The southpaw also has 17 wickets in T20 International matches.
Zaheer, also played in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for a decade, featured in 100 matches across three teams and took 102 wickets with an economy rate of 7.58.
His last appearance as a player came in 2017, when he led Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals). After retiring, he was associated with Mumbai Indians as director of cricket and later head of global development until 2022.
Currently, Zaheer is serving as the mentor for Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the ongoing IPL 2025 season. The team’s three-match winning streak ended last Saturday after a five-wicket loss to Chennai Super Kings.
LSG will be looking to bounce back in their next game against Rajasthan Royals at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Saturday.
As of now, LSG are placed fifth on the IPL points table, with four wins and three losses from seven matches.
