ZEE Cine Awards conducted sans audience due to COVID-19 fears

The Zee Cine Awards 2020 took place in Mumbai on March 13 without the general public owing to the coronavirus pandemic.

The annual star-studded awards ceremony was shot as a televised show following the COVID-19 precautions announced by the Indian government in line with global health guidelines against large gatherings and public events. 

Hosted by Raj Kumar Rao and Apaarshakti Khurrana; the event was graced by Kriti Sanon, Kartik Aaryan, Nora Fatehi, Rakul Preet Singh, Tara Sutaria, Urvashi Rautela, Govinda and designer Manish Malhotra . 

The highlight of the show was a dance performance by Hrithik Roshan. Ranveer Singh and  Sara Ali Khan also rocked the show with their performances. 

Ranveer Singh won the ‘Best Actor (Male) in a Leading Role’ award for his performance in ‘Gully Boy’ while Taapsee Pannu won the 'Best Actor- Female' award for her performance in 'Badla'.

Best Music: Sachet–Parampara (Kabir Singh) 

Best Action: Parvez Shaikh, Pail Jennings (War) 

Best Visual Effects: YRX (War)

Best Choreography: Bosco-Caesar (Jai Jai Shiv Shankar for War)

Best Costume Design: Manish Malhotra (Kalank)
